The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Institute teamed up with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) and the Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII) to host the Panther Ideation Circle. The circle called on students with entrepreneurial interests to gather and discuss their ideas together. With the participation of some key faculty from the invested departments, students discussed how the university could be beneficial in helping them achieve their goals, in addition to discussing what may be helpful to future entrepreneurial students.
Not only did students discuss their thoughts with faculty, guest speakers attended the circle to explain how they implemented their ideas. Speakers like Corregan Brown, co-founder of ProjectLocker met with the group of students to discuss how he operates his business with cofounders and more topics useful to student entrepreneurs. After each speaking session, the students were invited to have a fireside chat with the speakers and network.
All in all, the Ideation Circle was an opportunity for like-minded students to network, get advice from fellow students and faculty, and hear from people who have found success after being in their shoes.
